an experienced Director of Business Intelligence (BI) with 15-20
years of expertise to lead and oversee a small team of skilled
Snowflake and Tableau engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a
deep understanding of data analytics, BI strategies, and team
leadership. You will be responsible for driving the company's BI
initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, optimizing performance, and
delivering insightful analytics to support business decisions.Key
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management:- Lead, mentor, and manage a
team of Snowflake and Tableau engineers.- Foster a collaborative
and innovative team environment.- Conduct regular performance
reviews and provide professional development opportunities.
- Strategic Planning:- Develop and execute the BI strategy
aligned with the company's goals.- Identify and prioritize BI
projects based on business needs and impact.- Drive the adoption of
best practices in data management and analytics.
- Technical Oversight:- Oversee the design, development, and
maintenance of BI solutions using Snowflake and Tableau.- Ensure
data integrity, consistency, and security across all BI platforms.-
Optimize the performance of BI tools and infrastructure.
- Collaboration and Communication:- Work closely with business
stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into
actionable insights.- Communicate complex data concepts to
non-technical stakeholders.- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of
BI reports and dashboards.
- Data Governance:- Implement and enforce data governance
policies and procedures.- Ensure compliance with relevant data
protection regulations.- Promote data literacy across the
organization.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:- Stay current with the
latest BI technologies and trends.- Drive innovation by exploring
new tools and techniques to enhance BI capabilities.- Continuously
improve BI processes and methodologies.Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, Data Science, or a related field.Experience: 15-20
years of experience in Business Intelligence, with at least 5 years
in a leadership role.Technical Skills:- Proficiency in Snowflake
and Tableau.- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL
processes, and data modeling.- Experience with other BI tools and
technologies is a plus.- Leadership: Proven track record of
managing and leading high-performing BI teams.- Strategic Thinking:
Ability to develop and implement BI strategies that align with
business objectives.- Communication: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, with the ability to convey complex
information.- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills.Required Education, Experience, and
SkillsMinimum Education Level: Bachelor'sSpecialized Degree:
Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a
related field.Years of Experience: 10+Field of Expertise: Business
Intelligence, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Reporting
