Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Flexibility with changing assignments during the shift Job Description: - Adhere to a strict 75-mile radius rule for applicants. - Interview process involves a single discussion with a representative RN; no second interview required. - Facility comprises multiple campuses with a variety of bed capacities. - Nursing staff includes a charge nurse, with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. - Assistive personnel ratio includes CNA support, typically 1:8 to 1:10, with potential 1:1 situations. - Requirement for every other weekend shift and holiday rotation with permanent staff. - Scrub color required is Caribbean Blue. - Patients monitored with telemetry on different units, using BiPAP, CPAP, and Vapotherm. - No dedicated IV team or C-section experience required. - Floating to various specialized units may be necessary. - Expectation to handle common diagnoses seen in a Medical Surgical environment, along with flexibility to adapt to different areas as needed. - Utilization of the MEDITECH 6.1 charting system. - Requires participation in an on-call rotation for low census periods. - Comprehensive facility support including 24/7 RT and Pharmacy services. - Floor-specific orientation provided, with potential to float to ortho/neuro, oncology, acute care, and other units. Additional Notes: - Located in a city with a population of 80,000. - Part of a broader regional network with proximity to major cities and beaches.
