- And more Call Required We are seeking a capable Cardiovascular
Surgical Technologist who has acquired broad experience in caring
for patients, and has developed a sound understanding about the
care of a particular patient population. This individual will:
- Implement and evaluate care of pediatric, adolescent, adult,
and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive surgical
procedures.
- Prioritize and actively participate in procedure process and
supplies for specialty group of patients.
- Identify verbally or in writing unusual incidents during
patient care procedures and identifies complex procedure problems
related to patient reaction, symptoms, or changes in needs based on
patient reactions.
- Determine the equipment, materials, and resources needed to
meet the patient procedure plan.
- Keep the peri-operative team abreast of the procedure needs and
progress.
- Active membership in professional organization.
- Assist with planning and conducting department orientation of
new staff and students.
- Serve as role model or mentor for new staff and students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or
equivalent job training.
- Certification in Surgical Technology strongly preferred.
- Two years multispecialty experience with one year in CVOR
specialty area. Will consider 2 years' experience in complex
surgical cases such as neuro, ortho-spine, vascular, general
(liver, colon), etc.
- Must be able to function as a clinical expert in CVOR service
line and have the ability to float to other service lines as
