  • Registered Nurse position at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center
  • Minimum experience: 1 year
  • Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics, average daily census 28
  • Unit accepts first-time travelers
  • Unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC & SBAR
  • Diagnoses include CHF, STEMI, NSTEMI, renal, pulmonary, trauma, stroke, TIA
  • Special procedures include peritoneal dialysis, CPAP, BIPAP, EKG monitoring, stress tests, cardiac caths, and medication infusions.
    • Job Requirements
    • BLS - Basic Life Support (required)
    • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required)
    • State License verification (within 30 days prior to start)
    • Annual Nursys (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) verification (within 30 days prior to start)
    • NIH Stroke Certification (required for stroke care facility)
      • Schedule Information
      • RTO: MAX 7 days, Blocked Scheduling Not Guaranteed
      • Weekends are required for unit coverage
      • Holiday RTO cannot be requested, but no one works all major holidays unless they request to do so
      • Floating to other departments as needed
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit ratio: 1:4/5
        • Telemetry monitoring on the unit and remote monitoring
        • Pre/Post Cardiac Cath management
        • Management of dysrhythmias

          • Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time, if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
