Our hardware (Self Service Machines) and software (POS and payment solutions) cross-sell extensively to retail and hospitality segments. The incumbent will be involved in development projects to design software for ATMs and POS terminals. This includes analysis, design, and development of authentic software products, as well as implementation of client projects.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in gathering user requirements from clients.
• Document design specifications for discussion with the Product Management team.
• Develop enhancements or corrections to software according to approved designs and following industry best practices and company standards.
• Assist in documentation where relevant.
• Provide 24x7 maintenance support to clients (when rostered).
• Implement client projects within budgeted timeframes and costs.
• Assist in any ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.Qualifications and Desired Work Experience:
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of working experience using the Java programming language.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Good logical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proven skills in the implementation of significant Java-based product development.
  • A rigorous and thorough approach to quality.
  • Experience in a payments systems environment, product vendor background, or strong concurrency experience is an advantage.
