Job Description:
A company is looking for a Risk Adjustment Coder.
Key Responsibilities
Review and abstract medical records to identify and validate
Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCCs)
Code and analyze inpatient and outpatient medical records using
ICD-10, adhering to official guidelines
Comply with CMS risk adjustment guidelines and maintain
productivity and accuracy standards
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in a related
field preferred
2+ years of professional coding experience in a hospital or
physician setting required
Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified
Coding Specialist (CCS) is required
Understanding of ICD-10 codes and their impact on the CMS HCC risk
adjustment model
Ability to defend coding decisions during audits
